White Elephant Group (WEG) is a team of 20+ award-winning film and digital media artists working across various artistic avenues including: cinema, XR, mixed-multimedia and more to artistically address and elaborate upon the voices and experiences we've had coming from minority and underserved communities in South Florida. Our work has premiered at numerous Academy Award-qualifying film festivals around the world including Tribeca, Slamdance, IDFA (Amsterdam), Leeds International, Short Shorts Tokyo, Florida Film Festival, the New Orleans Film Festival and HBO New York Latino Film Festivals to name a few. Our ethos is rooted in creating community and mentorship. Our goal is to create films that not only support the careers of our artists but also lift and inspire South Florida and its emerging artists.
