TEMPORARILY HOST A REFUGEE & CHANGE THEIR LIFE
WeHost is a platform designed to empower Canadians to temporarily host a refugee from 1 day to 2 months.
We are a dynamic team of volunteers headquartered in Montreal, active members of the Montreal tech and startup community, with experience in building companies from the ground up. We are passionate about this cause and helping Canada achieve its goals for humanitarian support.
Our goal is to help provide temporary housing to refugees.
The WeHost platform is similar to Airbnb, but specifically built for refugees, whereby Canadian citizens apply to be “hosts” and refugees apply to be “guests”, for a temporary period of time, from 1 day to 2 months. We work with government, local officials and refugee resettlement groups. WeHost comes in to help bridge the housing gap upon refugee arrival in Canada, prior to finding permanent accommodations for refugees.
