WPQ, Inc., offers both quantitative financial analysis and the application of mathematics-based business and decision making solutions to areas outside the financial markets. Its special focus is in delivering model validation services to mid-sized, regional and community banks. Founder, President and CEO Edward D. (Ed) Weinberger, Ph.D., does the hands-on work of every WPQ model validation. Ed teaches in the Finance and Risk Engineering Department of the NYU Polytechnic Institute. He trained in applied probability and statistics at MIT and the Courant Institute. His business background includes devising, implementing, and validating models for HSBC, for Deutsche Bank and, as a KPMG manager, for Citibank, Bank of America and GMAC. He holds the Global Association of Risk Professionals FRM certification and the Professional Risk Managers’ International PRM certification.
