Over 111 years ago, great-grandfather Johann Polz laid the foundation for the winery on the Grassnitzberg. Today, 4th generation is working to bring the idea of excellence to the glass, with hands, soils, and nature. Since Spring 2020, Erich Polz Jr. has been leading the business with the determination to guide all the fabulous potential and valuable knowledge that the family's long history holds into a bright future. Erich's brother, Christoph, is responsible for the cellar and vinification. We are passionate about working by hand. And our skills grow directly from our origins in southern Styria, from our terroir.
