About Weird Reno
A gentle stroll interrupted with moments of magic and lunacy! A unique evening of entertainment that travels the streets of Reno. Its an unusual, and comedic stroll combining the areas “weird” history and captivating street theatre unlike you've seen before. Suggested Duration:1-2 hours Type: Family Friendly, open to all ages Prepared To Be Amazed. For local families, businesses and visitors who value having fun together, Weird Reno is a walking-tour of offbeat history, good-natured fun, and interactive magic. Take a journey along Reno’s beautiful Riverwalk district for an 80-minute, COVID-compliant, community experience punctuated by multiple stops, a mysterious woman, and amazing revelations—both historical and magical. Your “tour guides” are magicians Mark Kalin and Jinger Leigh, the two dramatic, engaging performers who starred in Broadway’s “The Illusionists Turn of the Century” and creators of Reno’s own live theater of Illusion, “Magic Underground”. By gathering (safely) as a community, sharing in our common story, and participating in a bit of magic, Weird Reno guests will arrive at the end of their tour with a better understanding of who we are and where we live not only as residents but also as fellow human beings. Weird Reno is designed to showcase just how cool Reno REALLY is. It amazing. It’s amusing. It’s something you’ll never forget, and never quite believe.
