The Welcome Restaurant

The Wong family opened their first Welcome Restaurant in Northern Ireland in 1973. The Stranmillis Restaurant was opened in 1982 by the then Lord Mayor, Tom Patton. Now in it’s second generation, we are celebrating our 40th year of operations! Charlie and Michael Wong, sons of the founder, took over the restaurant in 2016. The Welcome Restaurant has won a range of awards throughout the years, including Best Belfast Restaurant, Master Chef and Egon Ronay Awards. Our recent accolades include: Tripadvisor - The Number One restaurant in Belfast from September 2017 to January 2018.
