WE LEAD LANKA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth, women, and communities in Sri Lanka’s Hill Country, with a focus on sustainable development and social impact. Our mission is to create a thriving, interconnected community where individuals are equipped with the skills and opportunities to achieve self-reliance and contribute to their communities. By addressing key challenges faced by marginalized populations, particularly in the plantation sector, we aim to foster long-term, transformative change. Our work focuses on four key areas: Youth Empowerment & Leadership: Through leadership training, mentorship programs, and skill-building workshops, we empower young people to become active, informed citizens capable of driving positive change. We provide youth with the tools and opportunities to develop leadership qualities that will serve them well in both their personal and professional lives. Women’s Empowerment: We prioritize gender equality and provide women, especially in rural and plantation communities, with skills training, income-generating opportunities, and resources to promote their economic independence. Our programs aim to ensure that women are not only empowered but are also leaders in their families and communities. Child Well-Being: We are committed to improving the lives of children in underserved areas by focusing on their overall well-being—education, health, safety, and emotional development. Through targeted programs, we support children in gaining access to quality education, personal development opportunities, and protection from abuse and exploitation. We aim to create a safe environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
