Well-Built Finances

Well-Built Finances is a personal finance course for high schoolers and young adults aimed at delivering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that goes beyond personal finance basics. In addition to budgeting, spending, saving, and debt, we focus on connecting macro- and microeconomic concepts to the value of money, aligning education costs with career choices, and preparing teens for the realities of taxes, insurance, and wealth generation. Designed with excellence in mind, students will navigate through five units, building upon knowledge learned in the previous unit. Students will have the opportunity to work along side each other while they practice and explore personal finance through the use of the Well-Built Finances Suite. The WBF Suite includes a collaborative workbook, engaging videos that review key topics, online assessments, and supplemental resources to assist teachers in designing a course best suited for their students. The Well-Built Finance Suite is aligned with Indiana DOE Personal Financial Responsibility Standards, as well as, the National Standards for Personal Financial Education published by the Council for Economic Education and Jump$tart!.
