WellSurgent is a peer-operated North Carolina nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with mental and substance use disorders. Through collaboration, education and training, WellSurgent provides peers, family members, and community support services the tools to live healthy, reduce stigma, and strengthen communities.
WellSurgent provides educational and support services regarding mental health, wellness and recovery in local communities. This mission is carried out by collaborating with other organizations to provide training opportunities and small group facilitation for people who live with mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, TBI (traumatic brain injury), and substance use disorders. These services will also be made available to family members of these individuals and other interested stakeholders or organizations within these populations.
