Welsh Music Guild | Cymdeithas Cerddoriaeth Cymru

The Welsh Music Guild was established in 1955 to encourage the understanding and appreciation of the music of composers of Welsh origin and the composers of any nationality resident in Wales. The Guild also encourages a high level of performance practice and fosters awareness and observation of professional issues within Wales and to this end encourages performers and musicologists to take an active role in workings of the Guild. Sefydlwyd Cymdeithas Cerddoriaeth Cymru yn 1955 er mwyn hybu'r ddealltwriaeth a gwerthfawrogiad o gerddoriaeth gan gyfansoddwyr Cymreig yn ogystal â chyfansoddwyr sydd wedi ymgartrefu yng Nghymru. Mae’r Gymdeithas hefyd yn annog lefel uchel o ymarfer perfformio gan feithrin ymwybyddiaeth sy’n arsylwi ar faterion proffesiynol yng Nghymru; i’r perwyl hwn mae'n annog perfformwyr a cherddolegwyr i ymddiddori yng ngwaith y Gymdeithas.
