WelshBone is an organisation set up by the Orthopaedic Surgeons in Wales to inspire and promote education and research. With the support of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSed) and Cardiff University, we have organised our annual showcase event SWOTs.
The aim of the South Wales Orthopaedics Training Showcase (SWOTs) is to showcase Trauma and Orthopaedic as a specialty to junior doctors and medical students, in order to raise its profile and create greater attraction for the specialty. It is also to showcase the high standard of training produced by the Welsh Orthopaedics training.
Furthermore, with the help of Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University and BOTA we have developed SWORN , a network which will guide and facilitate scientific research projects in South Wales.
