WeMR (We Mentor Research), Skill Foundation

The emerging initiatives in Research and Development (R&D) and Human Capacity Building, by the Government of India (GOI), need active participation from the scientists and students to drive the nation towards a scientifically advanced and developed country. Taking inspiration from the GOI, our initiative WeMR aims to supplement the efforts of GOI in strengthening India’s ‘human capacity building’ in Science, Research and innovation by promoting STEM, Mentoring and bridging the gap between the youth and the opportunities in academia and research. Our youth is full of ideas and aspirations with enormous potential and energy that is required to channel towards the growth of the nation. Academia, research organizations, R & D sectors in Government and industry need scientifically trained youth power, whereas youth needs good opportunities and support to learn, grow, contribute and live well. With this in view, we initiated “WeMR (we Mentor Research)”, a pilot initiative of ‘Skill Foundation (A Non-Profit org.)', in a mission mode to empower the youth of the country, to pursue a career in science research and drive scientific growth and innovation, towards the goals of scientifically trained human capacity building for the nation. We are a team of academicians, eminent scientists, techies, MBA, doctors, from across the globe who are willing to contribute with their time and expertise. We promote STEM, women in science, and empower the youth with STI for SDGs (Science , Technology and Innovation for Sustainable development Goals) in a comprehensive program.
