ABOUT WEOG • Women in Energy Oil and Gas (WEOG), is an incorporated trustee duly registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission as a non-profit / Professional association / Civil Society Organization. • WEOG is operating under the official name and banner of “International Forum for Women In Energy Oil and Gas” a.k.a Women in Energy Oil and Gas (WEOG). WEOG a product of OTC Women in Energy session was formed in 2018 • Women in Energy Oil and Gas (WEOG) Nigeria is an industry Network created to promote gender diversity and inclusion in the male dominated Energy, Oil and Gas Industry in line with the tenets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals thereby fostering a platform for the industry to tap into untapped reserves, bridging industry gaps and creating opportunities for women to step into leadership roles for the industry and National development. • WEOG believes that a more inclusive workforce will not only enhances business performance, but can also serve as an integral part of the community / national growth strategy for the industry, Nigeria and Africa at large. • WEOG is a mix of formal and informal forum focused on providing information for career and business women in the industry, leveraging opportunities, augment exposure and education thereby enhancing women endeavours and growth in the industry. Core Objectives and Targets – To collaborate with Nations in closing the gaps in the Energy value chain focusing on these 3 core areas:  Close industry Gender gaps – mainstreaming women participation in the industry at all leels.  Close Energy Poverty gaps with Energy wealthy initiatives, innovations and advocacies.  Close the gaps between the wealth of energy resources and raw materials in our nations vis a vis their resulting transformational effects on the nations, economies, people and environment.
