WE organization

Born out of the need to create spaces for empathy, cross-cultural dialogue, and purposeful community engagement, "WE Organization" is a young social initiative aims to develop several projects targeting different segments of the society in order to tackle xenophobia, build bonds & promote social inclusion. WE ARE THE REFUGEES WE organization is keen on addressing society's most relevant and troubling themes of xenophobia and populism by connecting refugees with their hosting communities through the power of conversation. So very often stories have been told about us! With the notion "Talk with us, NOT about us", the work of 'WE ARE THE REFUGEES' is to ensure that we (the refugees) are the authors of our own narratives and that we are in charge of our stories. During our speeches (at Schools, Universities, Companies, NGO's, and Government Agencies), we strive to raise awareness about the Refugee-Crisis in Europe; seeking to foster tolerance and deconstruct the misconceptions surrounding refugees by encouraging effective communication between 'The Newcomers' and the local communities. Moreover, through co-creation sessions & workshops, we bring together a diverse set of skills and insights on how to be and feel integrated; aspiring to make policy, practice, and attitudes more Refugee-Friendly. WE ARE THE ELDERLY We believe in reaching out to all members of the society by providing a platform for cultural exchange. At 'WE ARE THE ELDERLY', we facilitate social 'get-together' events for and with the Dutch elderly, aspiring to convey cultures through food, music, and entertainment. WE ARE THE LABELS At the heart of WE organization is the basic idea that one must engage with "The Other". To engage implies an active and real connection, one that brings about change for all involved. 'WE ARE THE LABELS' offers a safe & supportive space for challenging prejudice. It proposes a re-thinking of stereotypes and a search for identities beyond them. At 'WE ARE THE LABELS' we share real-life stories of those who have been negatively labeled by their societies, in order to reveal the real human side of them. WE organization had the honor of speaking at TEDx about living ( Beyond The Labels ). START-UP! WE organization is actively involved in the development and implementation of business incubation programs that strive for the economic empowerment of the newcomers and their integration into the local communities by supporting them to launch and grow their own businesses. These programs target curious& motivated individuals from refugee / forced-migration backgrounds with the drive to unlock their entrepreneurial spirit and find pathways to realizing their full potential by transforming their passion into business opportunities.
