Die WERTHOLZ Gruppe ist eine international tätige Unternehmensgruppe im Eigentum der Familie Welz. Zur Unternehmensgruppe gehört die WERTHOLZ Holding GmbH, als Besitzgesellschaft, mit ihren Tochterunternehmen WERTHOLZ Österreich Holzhandels GmbH, WH Danubius s.r.o., WERTHOLZ Deutschland GmbH und dotparc Informationstechnologie GmbH.
Begonnen haben die Tätigkeiten der WERTHOLZ Gruppe im Jahr 1989 mit der Gründung der heutigen WERTHOLZ Österreich Holzhandels GmbH durch Werner Welz. Aufgrund der langjährigen Erfahrung und Marktkontakte von Werner Welz ist das Unternehmen bereits zu Beginn europaweit tätig. Heute wird das Unternehmen von Werner Welz und seinem Sohn, Michael Welz, geleitet.
Kernkompetenzen der WERTHOLZ Gruppe sind heute der Handel mit Rundholz sowie der Kauf und die Bewirtschaftung von Forstbetrieben und Landwirtschaften. Die Unternehmensgruppe beschäftigt aktuell rund 20 Mitarbeiter und erwirtschaftet einen Jahresumsatz von rd. € 10 Millionen.
