WEed Science Team - WEST is a research group based at the Agricultural University of Athens, led by Associate Professor Ilias Travlos and specialised in agroecological, sustainable and integrated crop and weed management. Our research studies extend to several crops (cereals, legumes, forages, industrial, energy, cover crops etc.) and include a wide range of scientific topics like agroecological weed and crop management, herbicide resistance screening and management, non-chemical weed management methods (cultural, mechanical, thermal, biological etc.), novel and smart farming approaches, invasive species etc.
