West Coast Angel Network (WeCAN) is a purpose-driven network of Angel investors driving forward diversity representation on the cap table. We know inclusion and diversity matters, and yet diversity is still not represented equitably in most positions of influence (see our website for some sobering metrics). Applying an investor-led model, members work together to learn the investment process using hands-on experience while expanding our network of like-minded professionals. Through learning the ins and outs of the investment continuum, members are empowered to confidently move beyond the immediate network, applying the concepts we've learned to diversified financial arenas.
We strive to create an inclusive, supportive and fun learning environment. As a social venture, WeCAN's leadership team takes no management fees or carry: like all members, we're here to learn, have fun, expand our networks and return a profit on our investments.
