West Coast Expressway

The West Coast Expressway (WCE), a highway project approved by the Government and managed by West Coast Expressway Sdn Bhd (WCE), is reshaping connectivity along the western corridor of Malaysia. Spanning 320 kilometers, WCE traverses from Banting, Selangor to Taiping, Perak, encompassing a segment of the Federal Route 5 (FR 5) upgraded by JKR. Since its inception in 2015, WCE has been a catalyst for enhanced accessibility and economic transformation. The first four sections opened their lanes to the public in 2019, and as we move into 2023, four more sections are poised to greet travelers by year-end. Anticipated completion of the remaining three sections (3, 4 & 7) is slated for 2024/25, marking the fulfillment of WCE's comprehensive alignment.
