Western Commodities was founded in 1998 by current business owner Richard Stoker. We started as a domestic trading company and have become an international trading company with a UK based manufacturing business that turns commodities into ingredients. We specialise in Dates as well as other dried fruits. In fact we are the largest importers of Dates in Europe. We project we will trade and process upwards of 7,000 metric tonnes. We have invested heavily in the latest laser sorting and roasting technologies. From Cashews to Pistachios to Almonds to Pinenuts, our Peanut Free roasting facility combined with the laser cleaning technology is, in the words of one auditor for a major food brand ‘the next generation of food processing in the UK’ - the auditors words not ours.
