Founded by director/editors Ryan Westra and Ben Fischinger, WestFish was born from a decade of hands-on experience behind the camera and in the edit bay. After cutting their teeth as creative freelancers throughout the 2010s—editing, shooting, producing, and directing across formats—they officially launched WestFish in 2020 to bring their complementary styles together under one roof. Ben, with a background in narrative filmmaking and cinematography (Student BAFTA, Cine Golden Eagle, and SXSW-winning I Love My Dad), pairs seamlessly with Ryan’s documentary chops and branded storytelling expertise (Webby-winning American Sikh, Coachella, Dreamworks, HBO Docs, BBC). Their combined vision helps WestFish create content that’s visually arresting, emotionally grounded, and strategically aligned with client goals. Today, WestFish operates at the intersection of agency and production, assembling scalable, handpicked teams to deliver creative that performs.
