At Westgate Chambers our aim is very straight forward. We deliver excellence in criminal, family, regulatory, civil, health and safety and planning law so you have immediate access to best in class legal technicians with a genuinely personal touch. Our family, crime, regulatory, civil, health & safety and planning teams are home to more than 100 barristers based in the South East of England, all of whom are ready to provide you with the highest quality advocacy, representation and advice. Our clients are predominantly solicitors from a long list of law firms, many of whom have repeatedly worked with us since Chambers opened. However, we also have worked extensively with local government, trade bodies, in-house lawyers and various prosecuting authorities and are increasingly receiving instructions from members of the public thanks to our direct access accreditation. With premises in London, we have been and remain involved in many major cases in London’s courts. However, as our primary base is now in Brighton, we are best placed to act in cases being heard on the South Eastern Circuit. As well as working in our home town of Brighton, we are regularly instructed by solicitors to advocate for their clients at Bournemouth, Canterbury, Guildford, Lewes, Maidstone and Winchester Courts. And working outside London allows us to provide the genuinely personal touch we pride ourselves on. While Brighton is not far from London, we believe the extra distance allows us to be more accessible, more responsive, better placed to spend time with our clients and to be on hand to answer any questions they may have as and when required. It also provides us with more scope to add value where we can in terms of training, hosting social events.
