Westknits was founded by knitwear designer Stephen West in 2009.
Stephen West’s shawl designs and innovative colorwork have helped him become a widely recognized and respected designer around the world. Stephen’s designs have been published in Knitty.com, Malabrigo Book 3 and in Jared Flood’s Wool People. He also self-publishes his own series of popular knitting books including his collections of popular Westknits designs ‘Westknits Bestknits’ and his new collection 'Hiberknitting'.
West is a self-proclaimed Knitting Knomad, travelling the world to teach and spread his joy of color and design. The Westknits headquarters are based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where West is based when he's not on the road. Our colleagues are based in Amsterdam, the UK and the US.
