About Westside Burns Night Association

Originally convened by Peter Foster as a reunion party for BP/Britoil Glasgow employees in 2001, the event rapidly expanded in popularity to become Houston’s premier Burns Night celebration. The Westside Burns Night Association was formed in 2010 to manage the event and became a 501(c)3 not-for-profit association a few years later. Surplus funds are donated to charities including The Livestrong Foundation, The Gulf Coast Bone Marrow Transplant Program, Shriners Hospital for Children, Help for Heroes, The Houston Food Bank, St. Thomas Episcopal School Scottish Arts Program and Entrepreneurial Scotland Foundation.
