Workforce Connect Manufacturing Sector Partnership - Cuyahoga County

Manufacturing drives 50% of northeast Ohio’s economy. Finding skilled talent is one of the most critical issues facing manufacturers across Cuyahoga County and the region. Addressing this growing lack of talent is critical to ensuring the continued growth of both our manufacturers, but also North East Ohio as a vibrant and prosperous region to live, work and play. Formed in 2019, the WorkforceConnect Manufacturing Sector Partnership of Cuyahoga County is led and owned by manufacturers focused on driving innovative solutions to the talent and skills gap. We partner with community colleges, workforce development agencies, high schools, training and community organizations. Our core action teams work to attract students into manufacturing, ensure local training and education programs meet the changing needs of manufacturers, upskill existing talent in our industry and build innovative “on-ramps” into our industry for disaffected populations.
