The Women Green the Way (WGTW) network was co-founded by the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong & Macau and Women in Finance Asia in 2023, an initiative spearheaded by Aaron Huang and Jazreel Cheng. Our mission is to build a network of leaders in sustainable finance across major financial capitals in Asia, amplify women's roles in key decision-making processes, and help bridge gaps in sustainable finance standards. We aim to drive more effective private financing solutions to tackle Asia’s climate challenges. Since its inception, Women Green the Way has been highlighted at both COP28 and COP29 as a key U.S. Department of State program for promoting women and girls as climate leaders.
