Our name, WhaleFall Tech, is inspired by the natural phenomenon known as a “whale fall,” — when a whale’s passing nourishes entire deep-sea ecosystems. It reflects our belief in a sustainable industrial cycle: every retired battery unleashes energy that ignites a new ecological cycle within the renewable industry, completing an eternal loop — from the covenant of stardust to the rebirth of all things. Founded in December 2021, Ningbo WhaleFall Technology Co., Ltd. is a tech-driven R&D company focused on the integrated technology of retired battery recycling and material regeneration. As the exclusive industrialization platform for the battery recycling technology developed by the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), we hold 14 invention patents and proprietary technologies. WhaleFall Tech is leading the way with advanced recycling solutions, achieving lithium recovery rates of over 95% and iron phosphate recovery rates of over 90%, significantly exceeding the industry average. Our business spans the entire supply chain, from recycling to regeneration to material application, and is further strengthened by strategic investments in equipment and distribution companies. WhaleFall Tech currently operates a large recycling facility in Lishui, Zhejiang, with a planned annual capacity of 100,000 tons. The projected annual output is over 6 billion RMB (around 836 million USD), with a total investment of 2 billion RMB (about 278 million USD) in the project. With comprehensive technological partnerships with the CAS, WhaleFall Tech aims to become a benchmark in the global battery recycling industry and drive the transition of the new energy sector towards a circular resource economy.
