Founded in August 2021, WhaleOps is founded by the core teams of the Apache DolphinScheduler and Apache SeaTunnel projects, along with global top-level experts in the field of data. The core team members have backgrounds from companies like IBM, Teradata, Informatica, Alibaba, and JD.com, with over 90% of the staff being research and development personnel. The company received a multi-million yuan seed round investment from BlueRun Ventures at its inception in 2021, followed by tens of millions of yuan investment from Kaitai Capital in 2022. It has established itself as a leader in the global DataOps open-source domain.
