Our host, Scott Duncan (USMC- Ret.), interviews individuals who share their personal stories of transition from military service and as first-responders.
The discussions are personal, going beyond the "checklist" mentality of transition and often expand to topics of personal discovery, finding new purpose and helping others.
The Open Mic sessions are a platform to discuss issues important to those transitioning from service, their spouses and our veteran and first-responder communities...to include discussions on chief issues of our day.
Some of these discussions are on difficult topics, but we address them respectfully and in a civil manner. We must be able to have these conversations.
We will also focus on these areas as well:
• Countinued service to community/country
• Combating sex-trafficing
• Highlight veteran-owened businesses
• Educating our future generations on American Exceptionalism, our history, ideals and civics
Our interviews are recorded (sometimes with a live audience) and posted to YouTube under - The Power of Our Story. The Open Mic sessions are not recorded.
