Whidbey Telecom’s history and culture is a rich tradition of technology innovation and entrepreneurship. In 1908, we pioneered Whidbey Island’s first telephone service. In the 1960s we were the first to put our lines underground to improve service quality, and in 1994 we were the first company west of the Rocky Mountains to provide Internet service. Continuing our forward-looking tradition, in 2016 we launched The BiG GiG high-speed, fiber-optic Internet service. A service that will help our customers and community thrive for the next fifty years.
