Company history
WhiskyNet Ltd. was established in 2007 by a couple, Katalin Szatmári and Zsolt Szigeti, both economists. Initially, they were importing premium whiskies to sell them online in Hungary.
Thanks to their wisely selected portfolio and the ever increasing circle of Scottish and Hungarian partners, within a few years this family venture has grown into a well-known and recognised player in the Hungarian market of premium spirits. Based on the success achieved in the field of whiskies the company has expanded its activities with further brands and new categories as well.
As a result, WhiskyNet today covers the entire vertical range of distribution and sales of quality spirits (rum, cognac, calvados, armagnac, gin, vodka, etc.) and other premium drinks (vermouth, tonic, etc.) on the Hungarian market.
The company’s more than 15-year-old history has inextricably linked with spreading and promoting quality spirits in Hungary and the demand for a civilized and informed way of drinking.
Our activities include import, excise duty administration and storage, Cash & Carry sales, online sales, selling premium spirits in our retail shop in Budapest, operating a reference bar – GoodSpirit Whisky&Cocktail Bar, wholesale trade, direct brand representation, distribution, marketing, education, training, tastings, competitions, events (Whisky Show Budapest, Budapest Bar Show, Rum Show Budapest)

Our team, initially consisting of two people, has been growing year by year due to our ongoing expansion. Today, in several fields, everyday tasks of our company are managed by nearly 70 enthusiastic and expert colleagues.
