White Oaks at McHenry

Nestled along the Fox River in the heart of McHenry County, the city of McHenry is 46 miles northwest of downtown Chicago near the communities of Crystal Lake, Johnsburg, Round Lake, Wonder Lake and Woodstock. White Oaks, which is designed to serve older adults with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia, is managed by Gardant Management Solutions, a mission-driven company that ranks as the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois. The program at White Oaks is designed to provide opportunities for residents to maintain a sense of purpose and belonging throughout the seasons of dementia. We focus on abilities rather than limitations because we understand that as we age our heart’s hopes and desires do not. This $12 million expansion project was developed on four acres of land next to the Heritage Woods of McHenry assisted lifestyle community. Together, the communities provide a wide continuum of care for older adults.
