Whole Mentality, PLLC was created to support clients, and the therapists providing support, as safe as possible an experience receiving care. While we would love to say that mental health care means supportive care for all people, the opposite is often reality. Whole Mentality, PLLC strives to serve people from all backgrounds, identities, orientations, ethnicities, abilities, and experiences with the respect and care we all deserve. We exist to create affirming, accessible, healing centered spaces that celebrate and value clientele and their providers. We acknowledge the impact of the people and systems around us, and how we Whole Mentality, PLLC’s core values are that of inclusion, accessibility, and equity - including diversity of identity, ability, bodies, gender identities & sexual orientations. We believe in equity for all and strive to create affirming and accessible spaces. We acknowledge the necessity of anti-oppression and anti-racism work and are devoted to continuing to cultivate communities that are inclusive of humans of all races, abilities, cultures, sexual orientations, bodies, gender identities, and backgrounds. We are also committed to continual learning and growth in these areas and spaces. We are continuously unlearning and relearning in this journey to decolonize trauma therapy and its spaces. We will continue to flatten the hierarchy in therapy spaces, dismantle white supremacy, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, and any other inequity and/or discrimination realities we may have once learned to perpetuate . We are committed to engaging in both professional and personal accountability through ongoing learning, supervision, and consultation. Whole Mentality, PLLC is owned by Erica Smith. Erica is a black woman, small business owner, and lives with multiple chronic Illnesses. Whole Mentality, PLLC is queer allied. Whole Mentality, PLLC is respectful of children. Whole Mentality, PLLC is committed to creating affirming and accessible spaces.
