Why Wake Walks

Why Wake Walks is a student-led advocacy group that was formed by Wake County High School students in the midst of the Parkland shooting. They united all across the county and planned a political rally on April 20th, 2018 that featured elected officials, gun violence victims, student artists, and more. Since then the organization has been working hard to advocate for the rights of students in not just gun violence and school safety but a variety of issues. Currently, we are looking for more passionate and inspired young people to take a stand and start using their voice.
