The name Wide Awake is an homage to Nevada, where we have developed a rich expertise working with the gaming and hospitality industry. On the Nevada frontier, during the gold and silver rushes, well before gaming was legal, towns that were open to gambling were referred to as “Wide Awake.” We thought paying tribute to Nevada’s pioneering spirit and its deep gaming roots with our name was pretty fitting. After all, we’re a marketing and innovation agency that’s using our own pioneering spirit and almost a half of a century of experience working with the gaming industry to help properties everywhere innovate, differentiate and navigate the modern marketing landscape. Our purpose and passion is to help our clients think like pioneers and blaze trails in an industry that’s become commoditized, formulaic and hyper-competitive. We have grand opened mega-properties on the Strip, like MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and THEhotel (now the Delano), properties in Reno/Tahoe, like Silver Legacy Resort & Casino and Grand Sierra Resort, and regional properties like Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan, and Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We have repositioned and re-launched existing properties, from Rhode Island to Florida to California. We’ve helped reignite world-famous brands like the Seminole Hard Rock. We’ve worked with properties to build massive databases from scratch, marketed an infinite number of promotions, created messaging for more than 15 players club tiers, and we’ve been the agency of record for market monopolies as well as properties entrenched in highly competitive battles.
