The Widening Access Network (WAN) is a youth-focused social enterprise committed to raising the aspirations of youth from diverse or underprivileged backgrounds. As part of our operations, we organise aspirational assemblies, careers skills workshops and personal development presentations in schools and colleges in/around London. Our sessions are presented by a diverse range of state-school educated and multi-ethnic professionals who have found success in areas as diverse as Law, Medicine, Entrepreneurship and IT.
WAN seeks to inspire the next generation of leaders by showing them what is possible. Time after time, too many young people with immense potential fail to realise their capabilities due to a lack of confidence and self-belief. We believe that with access to visible, relatable role models, the right information and inspiration, young people are better equipped to fulfil their potential and access their greatness.
