THE WIKITECH STUDENT DEVELOPERS CLUB, KUMASI

The Wikitech Student Developers Club, KUMASI is a student-led initiative backed by the Africa Wikimedia Technical Community and Open Foundation West Africa. Our mission is to advance the technical aspects of Wikimedia projects, fostering a community of student developers who share a passion for innovation, collaboration, and open-source technology. As a part of the Wikimedia community, we strive to contribute to the development of Wikipedia, Wikidata, and other Wikimedia projects through technical expertise, innovation, and collaboration. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared passion for technology and a commitment to making a positive impact on the digital landscape. With the support of the Africa Wikimedia Technical Community and Open Foundation West Africa, we aim to: Develop and maintain technical solutions for Wikimedia projects Collaborate with other Wikimedia communities and developers Provide a platform for students to learn, share, and grow their technical skills Promote open-source technology and innovation in the Wikimedia ecosystem Through our club, we aim to empower the next generation of Wikimedia developers, driving innovation and progress in the Wikimedia community.
