Wilco specialises in reactive and preventative maintenance, commercial solar PV systems, standalone power and storage systems, hybrid solar PV storage systems, LED lighting upgrades, fit outs, refurbishments and construction. We also have capabilities in security, fire detection, clean energy solutions, high voltage installations and additional labour resources. In November 2016, Wilco set an ambitious target of creating 20 electrical apprenticeships by 2020 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women. Fostering and consistently nurturing a healthy company culture respectful of spirit and mind is critical to this goals success. As of Dec 2020 Wilco Electrical created 23 positions in which 14 were Electrical apprenticeships. The remaining were 6 x construction and 3 x admin traineeships. Our 20by2020 program has been superseded by our Strive for 25 by 2025. However, for the team at Wilco, it is less about numbers, it is about spreading the message that, no matter what your position is in the industry, we can all contribute to creating a better Australia.
