WILD Nature Foundation

We're a Danish non-profit foundation created by National Geographic Explorers and conservation photographers Helle & Uri Løvevild Golman. Our aim is to protect the world's wild animals and wild nature. We do this by creating or participating in projects where there's a documented need and a high likelyhood of creating a documented, positive difference. WILD Nature Foundation is based in Copenhagen but we only engage in projects outside of Denmark. We're currently involved in two large projects: – In Western Greenland we're assisting two councils in exploring the possibilities of creating a new national park from Kangerlussuaq to the Disko Bay. – In Colombia, on the slopes of Mount Ruiz in the Andes near Periera we aquired 731 hectares (app. 1800 acres) of land in 2022 and created a nature reserve called WILD Campo Silvestre. This area contains one of the World's highest concentration of biodiversity. In the reserve we resurrect the cloud forest, where it has been cleared to create open fields, and will be conducting and aiding research in the many endangered animals and plants endemic to the area. It will also be possible to visit and stay in WILD Campo Alegre. As part of our fundraising we sell WILD-shares in the project in Colombia. It's not traded on any stock exchange and the owner will neither get voting rights, financial profit or actual ownership of the land. Still, we call it the 'safest stock in the World', because the value will never diminish. We re-invest the funds in more land, in planting of more trees, running the nature reserve and in developing new projects to protect wild animals and wild nature. So this is one of the only investments that is guaranteed to only grow.
