The safety-critical components and systems we design and manufacture go into armoured vehicles, nuclear submarines, high-speed trains, architectural landmarks and offshore oil and gas platforms.

We employ 470 people across three newly modernised plants in Sheffield, Leeds and Stanhope, County Durham.
William Cook is a member of the Cast Metals Federation and the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).
Our chairman is Sir Andrew Cook CBE, whose great-great-grandfather founded the group in 1840. William Cook is privately owned.
