With so much delight, we announce the launch of WiMAG - a magazine on women in Islamic Business and Finance As its name suggests, Wi understandably seek to bring to the timeline women striving to make this world a better place. Our quest cuts across frontiers and cultures as we set out to bridge intra- and inter-continent gaps through experience sharing and collaboration. Wi advocate for women’s economic empowerment, welfare, and healthy lifestyle, financial inclusion, impact investment, inclusive finance, poverty alleviation, community service, etc. Wi listen to women’s stories from around the world and make their voices heard: louder, farther, and more impactful. Yes, it’s about women in, but not restricted to, Islamic finance. So, Wi also go further into the society to SPOT women with impactful initiatives: adjudged big or small, popular or unknown, even from the remotest settlement. Every impactful woman is great in her own right through her unique story. And, promoting such greatness is what Wi are poised to do, so that present and future generations get inspired! With the periodical issues of WiMAG, untold stories are told, silent struggles are revealed, pains are understood, joys are shared, successes are celebrated, and failures/setbacks are learned from… In short, Wi unravel the resilience of women through their stories and life journeys, each with its uniqueness and flavour!
