🌬️ Wind for Shipping (W4S) – Powered by Innovation, Driven by Sustainability Wind for Shipping (W4S) is an Interreg North-West Europe project bringing together 12 partners from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France to scale up wind propulsion technologies for maritime transport. The maritime and shipbuilding industries in NWE coastal regions face growing challenges due to climate change and demographic shifts. W4S addresses this by advancing rotorsails and wingsails — innovative solutions that can reduce fuel consumption by 20–40%, supporting the transition to greener shipping.
