Winder Power specialises in the design, manufacture, deployment and management of Distribution, Power & Grid transformers up to 132KV at 120MVA in-house and up to 400kV working with manufacturing partners. Its rotating-machines division (Newton Derby), is the leading manufacturer of exciters and permanent magnet machines for the power generation industry. Winder Power serves a wide range of customers in the utilities, renewable energy, and industrial sectors across the UK and internationally. Key clients include SSE plc (SSEN), National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE), Electricity North West (ENWL), Scottish Power (SPEN), Northern Powergrid (NPg), GE Energy, Drax Power, Ineos Chemicals and Air Products. With a history dating back to 1898, all Winder Powers products continue to be designed, manufactured and assembled to exacting international standards at the company’s 80,000 square foot factory in Leeds.
