WingEd Girls

WingEd Girls not only looks at the current problem faced by women and girls world over with a single short acting solution but aims to introduce sustainable solutions to end period poverty and keep girls in school. Our aim is to distribute sanitary materials and teach girls in underprivileged communities how to make reusable pads, while educating them on personal hygiene and menstrual hygiene management, as well as mentoring them through post school career paths and choices. As the saying goes, "Educate a woman and you educate a whole village" We create safe spaces where menstrual health can be discussed freely, myths debunked and correct information is shared so that there is proper management of periods. This is in the hope that the stigma around periods will ultimately disappear altogether and so we can reduce the number of infections that arise due to ignorance around the topic. We truly hope to grow and reach every single underprivileged girl child in all the corners of Zambia. Empowering girls to soar to greater heights, one pad at a time.
