Wings2Water

Our mission is to REDUCE nutrient pollution runoff and flood impacts, RESTORE water quality in the Mississippi River watershed, and ELIMINATE the Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico. Founded at The Eastern Iowa Airport. Our organization works to educate travelers and guests at airports about water quality, nutrient (pollution) runoff, and the Dead Zone, while also crowdfunding in a simple, easy-to-use “round-it-up” transaction program. Anyone making a purchase at the airport is asked if they would like to donate to Wings2Water by “rounding up” their sale. Educational and marketing materials are strategically located around the airport to inform travelers and guests about Wings2Water and water quality. Monies raised are given to projects that help improve water quality or educate about water quality.
