Global hyper-regulation is approaching creating a complex web of Environmental Regulation & Taxation. Winterfold Group's Green Tax Navigator is an easy-to-use single workspace that aggregates updated regulatory information from across the globe to enhance sustainability tax compliance. Winterfold is a UK/US based tech start-up that has locations in London, Edinburgh and Philadelphia. We focus on the development of AI-driven software platforms that automate many of the challenges companies experience in the field of sustainability taxes, including plastic packaging taxes; water and air pollution taxes; landfill tax; climate change levies; and more. Winterfold’s initial product – the Green Tax Navigator – provides users with information about the environmental taxes enacted by each country. It is also able to analyze a company’s global footprint and provide guidance on which taxes in which countries should be applicable to the business, so filtering out much of the “noise” of the on-going legislative expansion. The Green Tax Navigator also addresses compliance with these taxes. We have built an AI/RPA-driven prototype tax calculator that calculates the taxes due and creates a return-format report, ready for filing.
