Winton Mfg. Compost Works has re-purposed the old, decommissioned Winton sawmill and turned it into a state-of-the-art composting facility. Using membrane covers over the active compost heaps, and computer-controlled fans to optimize oxygen and temperature, we can efficiently manage nature’s process of breaking down yard waste, brush, land clearing debris, food scraps, fruit processing waste, and other organic materials.
Community members and regional residents now have a location to take their yard debris and organic wastes for recycling (no bio solids please!). The end results are quality compost, topsoil, garden soil, and other soil amendments for use in the region.
Our crew is eager to provide you with solutions for your soil health needs at our new retail yard as well. We have bulk compost, soil blends, rock, bagged products, and are continuously working expanding our product offerings.
