How lucky are we to make a living in the game industry? We hear this daily from our clients and candidates, and it's how we feel about our jobs too.
Our parent company, The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies, has been in the people business for more than 35 years. Over the past few years, Eastridge began working with game companies to help meet their people needs.
After placing some non-game positions, they asked for our help to fill some more technical roles. At the same time, a new group of candidates was emerging in our talent pool--and they had specific technical skills and a passion for gaming.
Problem and solution... right?
Well, that was just the start. We were fortunate enough to cut our teeth with some of the most respected game companies in the industry. It was immediately apparent that gamers and game companies are a unique crowd (to say the least). They don't fit into a mold and don't follow corporate models.
With that in mind, we decided that the only way our new endeavor would work is if we had the freedom to go completely off-roading--with everything. Everything but our values, that is.
So that's how we created Wired Talent from the ground up, with hands-on learning gained from top-notch clients and candidates. And it's working--in fact the results blew the doors off anything we'd hoped for.
