Facing global challenges, which span loss and damage, adaptation, mitigation, climate finance, ocean issues, food sovereignty, Indigenous sovereignty, ocean health and human health, mass incarceration, biodiversity, water concerns, and the urgent call to embrace our fundamental and universal values, our delegation stands resolutely committed to nurturing a harmonious transition.
We center our efforts on incorporating Indigenous wisdom into all these subjects, recognizing its profound significance in guiding our path forward. We acknowledge the pressing need to uphold equilibrium during this profound transformation, safeguarding the timeless balance that existed long before human intervention.
Our gathering at the United Nations Conference of the Parties is driven by these steadfast beliefs, viewed through the lens of Indigenous wisdom. Anchored in this sacred knowledge, we willingly accept a moral obligation to engage in harmonious cooperation, sharing a forward-thinking perspective that transcends the turbulent currents of our present era.
