Wise Care is a semi-independent residential care company that works with Looked After Children (LAC) and ‘Eligible and ‘Relevant’ young people who are entitled to leaving care services provided by the local authority under the provisions of the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000.
We aim to help young people to reach their fullest potential by offering a caring home environment that provides them with structure, stability and bespoke packages of support to address their individual needs.
We works with young people who have had disrupted childhoods and often experience emotional behavioural difficulties, those not in education, training, employment or training (NEET), and young people with attachment difficulties making it difficult for them to trust adults.
We promote a culture that is inclusive and embraces diversity. Our environment is one where we help young people to effectively problem-solve, with some scope for making mistakes, but where they are guided to learn from their mistakes. We aim to equip young people with life skills and interpersonal skills to help them transition successfully into adulthood and independence within the community as effective members of society.
