Women in Sustainable Finance

Women in Sustainable Finance (WISF) is an Australia-based industry initiative backed by the CEFC to promote and support the involvement of women in the sector through a range of networking, educational and leadership opportunities for industry participants. The aim of WISF is to connect like-minded people keen to progress sustainability outcomes in investment and finance. WISF was established in 2016, filling a market gap at a time when interest in sustainable investment was gathering momentum. What began as a single event at the CEFC Sydney office with about 30 attendees has grown to an active network of more than 1,500 people. There is no formal membership of the WISF network and events are open to all. WISF events reach a broad cross-section of leading professionals working within the finance and investment sectors, including those in investment funds, banks, consultancies and environment and sustainable development organisations. WISF also connects professionals across corporates and energy companies.
